ASA President Fa'asao Silil has announced that American Samoa will field a team to make run for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles! This will be the first time that a softball team will represent the Island.  After winning Gold at the Pacific Mini Games in Palau (July 2025), opening the field to athletes of American Samoan descent from the Mainland along with the appointment of Mississippi State's Samantha Ricketts as Head Coach, the time is right for American Samoa to hit the biggest of global stages. 

 

Our journey begins this July at The Canada Cup in Surrey, British Columbia (July 6-12, 2026) and the USA Softball International Cup in Oklahoma City (July 28 - August 3, 2026).
