ABOUT

The American Samoa Softball Association (ASA) is the recognized national governing body for softball in American Samoa, dedicated to promoting, developing, and managing the sport across all age groups and competitive levels throughout the Territory. Through structured grassroots programming, high-performance initiatives, and community engagement, ASA builds sustainable pathways for athletes, coaches, and officials to participate in local, regional, and international competition.

ASA works in close collaboration with the American Samoa National Olympic Committee (ASNOC), which serves as the official gateway for American Samoa’s participation in the Olympic Games. Through this partnership, ASA is responsible for preparing and presenting American Samoa’s national softball teams for Olympic qualification pathways, ensuring that local athletes have the opportunity to represent their own country on the world’s biggest sporting stage.

The Association is also an official member of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) and WBSC Oceania. The WBSC is the international governing body for the global sports of baseball, softball, Blind Baseball, Baseball5, and eSports, providing the worldwide framework for rules, athlete development standards, officiating, and sanctioned international competitions. Through WBSC and WBSC Oceania affiliation,  ASA connects American Samoa athletes to regional championships, international tournaments, coaching education, and global ranking systems.

Governed by an elected Executive Board and supported by committed volunteers and community partners, ASA is focused on strengthening grassroots participation, building elite performance programs, and proudly representing American Samoa throughout the Pacific region and on the international sporting stage.
